Mild redness, tenderness or swelling may occur around the treated area.

Healing and scabbing

The area may form a scab or crust as it heals. Leave this to come away naturally. Some warts may require a longer healing period depending on their size and location.

Settling and review

Once the surface has healed, the skin continues to settle. Some warts may need further assessment or treatment depending on how they respond.

Does wart removal hurt?

The treatment is well tolerated with minimal discomfort. Mild redness, swelling or a mild stinging sensation can occur afterwards and usually settles quickly.

What is the recovery time after wart removal?

Mild redness settles within one to two days, healing and fading continue over three to fourteen days, and the skin typically heals fully within two weeks to three months.

Can warts come back after removal?

Treated warts are removed, though warts are caused by a virus and new ones can appear over time. Bola will advise on aftercare that supports lasting results.

Are there any risks or side effects?

Side effects are usually mild: temporary redness, swelling or scabbing while the area heals. A patch test is carried out first and aftercare guidance protects the skin.

Can warts be treated alongside other blemishes?

Possibly. Warts need to be assessed first before we can confirm whether they can be treated during the same appointment as other blemishes. Please send us clear photos of the wart and any other areas you would like treated so we can advise you on the best next step.
